Aphrodite Winter Cash Cup

Welcome to the Aphrodite Hills Winter Cash Cup

This club-tournament will offer prizes and trophies to the winners and will be played over 3 days

Venue: Aphrodite Hills (4 clay courts booked throughout the day)
Dates: 14-15th December 2024, 9am -9pm each day
- Singles: Saturday 14th December. Limited to 32 players
- Doubles: Sunday 15th December. Limited to 32 teams (64 players)
Draw Type: “Compass Draw”. The tournament is not a ‘classic’ knock-out draw. Rather after each round the winners will move into a new draw (with all the winners) and so will the loser. In effect the main draw will “nest” out to smaller draws after each round. This means that all players will play 5 matches during the day (irrespective of how many wins/losses), with the objective that the level of players in each subsequent draw will converge and give all players a great day of tennis.
Match format:
- Each match will consists of 2 ‘short’ sets played to 4 games.
- Golden deuce point.
- If the score is 3-3, please play a tie-break to 7.
- If the set score is 1-1, a super tie-break to 10 will decide the match.
The “Finals”
- Will be 2 standard sets (7 point tie-break at 6-6), 10-point tie-break to decide the third set.
